Chef Abi will meet with prospective couples to fine tune the look, sizing and intricate details for the cake of their dreams, as well as offering cake tastings on a by-appointment basis.

Cake Works believes the wedding cake is more than a cornerstone tradition of every wedding reception… we believe its the centerpiece! The design and the flavor of your cake will tell your guests all about your style and sensibilities as a new couple, and you don’t want to leave them with a bad taste in their mouth!

For simpler cake designs, you are also welcome to come into the shop and speak with one of our friendly sales people.  If they are not able to handle your request, they can find someone who can.

Read below for some handy tips for preparing for a cake consultation, details about scheduling and a friendly reminder about our policies (don’t worry- it’s the short version, although the very important link to the whole policy is here.).We’ll also give you answers to a few commonly asked questions about your wedding cake.


Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday from 12p-4p, and Saturday from 10a-2p.
There is a $20 sampling fee for 6-7 cake flavors, a discussion of options with your cake consultant and a custom quote based on your needs.
The consult will take 30-45 minutes and you will have the option to place a deposit at the end.


We can deliver your cake to any part of O‘ahu. Delivery charges range from $35–$100

Deposits and Payments

At the time your wedding cake contract is finalized, a deposit of 50% of the cake order total is required. The remaining balance is due no later than 2 weeks before the reception date.

What Should We Bring?

Here’s some things you might consider before coming in for your consult.

  • What are your colors? – Bring swatches or a sample of your wedding colors!  Paint chips are a great source for this.
  • Flower or Not to Flower– If you want florals for your cake, create a game plan before coming in. It’s more cost effective for florists to provide flowers to us at the bakery to place OR to place them, but the bakery can provide flowers as well if it is more convenient.
  • Invites, Dresses and Flowers- Oh my!– Inspiration for wedding cakes come from the darndest places, including the wedding dress, the invitation or shades of linens! Factor them all in.
  • Style is everything, Darling– There are a lot of gorgeous cake designs to choose from. To avoid the love-them-all blues, keep your events style at the front of your mind to find the best fit.
  • Lets Talk Dollars and Sense– Have a basic budget and an idea how many guests you want to feed. Cakes range between $4-$10.00 per serving, and that can add up fast! Our Cake Design Consultant can help find a lovable alternative in your budget.

Cost Per Serving

The cost of your cake is determined by several factors, the most important being the number and size of tiers as well as your design options (choice of flavor, custom shapes, colors, decorations, rental of fountains, bridges or cake stands, purchase of cake toppers, frosting/hand-made sugar/fresh flowers, and delivery). The chart below will help you with the approximate number of servings to determine the size and base price of your cake.

The cost per serving (or per person) ranges between $4.00-$10 and up.


We offer buttercream, whipped cream, or fondant finishes to any of our cakes, however each finish does not necessarily lend itself to all types of decoration.
